It’s normal to feel nervous about our first meeting!
We’ll spend the first few minutes of our session going over some introductory information about therapy, and we’ll use the rest of our time (about 60 minutes total) getting to know each other, reflecting on what brought you here, and setting goals for your treatment. You don’t need to do anything to prepare for your first visit after you complete the online paperwork—just show up.

The meeting time for psychotherapy will be 45 minutes and the initial intake appointment will be 75 minutes. Frequency of sessions will be determined by the treatment plan. Sessions are generally scheduled once a week, and may be reduced in frequency as client progresses in treatment.

Online therapy follows a similar format of traditional face-to-face therapy but is delivered via a secure video platform. During an online therapy session, we will use a secure platform to meet via video. Online therapy provides all of the benefits of traditional therapy PLUS flexible scheduling and convenience of conducting sessions from home.

Everything that is said during a therapy session is completely confidential with three exceptions: 1) if a child is in danger, 2) if you are in danger of harming yourself, or 3) if you are planning on harming another person.

The standard fee for the initial intake appointment is $150 and each subsequent session is $120. You are responsible for payment at the time of your session. We do offer a limited number of reduced rate spots for clients experiencing financial hardship and who do not have insurance.

We do not accept private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. We can provide you with a Superbill receipt that you can submit to your insurance. We recommend calling your insurance company directly to confirm your out-of-network coverage. Please note that not all insurance companies reimburse for out-of-network providers.
