Hannah Douglas
Counseling Intern
I am a graduate student currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UNO. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health. I’m passionate about supporting individuals in navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and identity exploration.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in both inclusivity and empowerment. I’m particularly committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for clients from diverse backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. My approach is client-centered and empathetic, focusing on empowering clients to gain deeper self-awareness, enhance coping strategies, and work toward their personal goals. I incorporate various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m dedicated to promoting mental health advocacy and creating an inclusive space where all clients feel respected and heard. My goal is to provide a warm, non-judgmental environment where all clients feel comfortable exploring difficult topics and making meaningful progress toward their well-being.
Hannah is able to see clients at $30 per session. — Schedule Appointment.

What inspired you to become a therapist?
At a young age, I had a deep interest in the human brain and experience. Your brain is one of the most vital organs of the body, and taking care of it can be challenging. I wanted to help guide others through their hardships, including my own, and found connection in working through those hardships with others together as a team.
What is your favorite self-care activity?
Spending time outdoors hiking or being on the water, getting a coffee at my local coffee shop, or watching a good Netflix series!
